BIOGRAPHY

Chris Schneider is a Berlin-based guitarist, who plays mostly Jazz and Swingmusic but also likes to play music without genreborders.

Chris made his first musical steps on the piano at the age of 6 years. Later at age 15, he started playing the guitar, which soon became his main instrument.

Coming from the classical piano, he played mostly blues and rock on the guitar. After a few years he became a member of several jazz and blues bands, where he learnt to improvise and decided to dig deeper in the sound of jazz.

He did his Bachelor studies for jazz and popular music at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Mannheim and with a scholarship at the Escola da Musica in Salvador da Bahia.

After finishing his Bachelor he decided to move to Berlin.

Besides his university education he worked together with and learnt from many musicians around Germany.
